The overthrow of Pharaoh
Ladies & Gentlemen,
his involuntary resignation proved the unpopular dictator Hosni Mubarak today to the Egyptian people at last the longed-for good service.
Mubarak had exploited his people and personally very indecent way enriched. Transfer taxes were partly directly on his private account. Also took home the dictator billion gift from the pot of the World Bank and the U.S. government.
The military plays in Egypt remains an important role. Basically, the rule of ex-professional soldiers Mubarak was nothing but a covert military government. The army was highly Privileges in return, covering the corrupt Mubarak system. Those who rebelled were visited by the secret service, was arrested and tortured. The Americans could not or would not see through this system. Only after millions of Egyptians protested in the streets and after it had been a lot of bloodshed, the U.S. government realized that they had (once again) set to the wrong king. Similarly, it was been with Saddam Hussein. He was also previously a particularly pampered friend of the Americans.
How is now on in Egypt?
The army seems at the moment undoubtedly prevent the only guarantee to looting and chaos. This is the order of Hour. Then shall promptly prepare a legitimate government and fair elections as this government to be determined. - I have doubts in this regard, however. Because for the army, which has the hand on the trigger, it will be of no interest to install a Western-style democracy. In this case, the Army would ultimately have to give much of their privileges.
I hope that I will in this case (exception) was not right and I very much hope that Egypt is now to rest and soon everything turns out well.
